Biography
Aïda Kaadan (b. 1994) is a Palestinian screenwriter, filmmaker, and producer based in Haifa. She works across short and feature-length formats and is a Qumra 2025 laureate for a series in development. Aïda studied film and directing at Tel Aviv University and released her debut short film Strawberry at the age of 22, which became one of the most recognized Palestinian short films.

She participated in a research residency with the Le GREC collective in France, and has been active in podcast writing and hosting since 2018. She was also a prominent radio presenter on Radio Al-Nas, where she hosted her cultural show Bel Monasabeh for four years. Aïda is a member of Rawiyat: Sisters in Cinema.

She currently runs the 7th Art Club, a mobile film club dedicated to making cinema accessible to Palestinian communities across the 1948 borders. Her projects are supported by the Doha Film Institute and the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), IDFA and Al-Mawred.
Her work explores themes of identity, history, and human behavior through both cinema and television.
