Palestine Cinema Days 2019 will take place from the October 2 to 9.

 

The largest international film festival in Palestine announces its upcoming 6th edition: Palestine Cinema Days 2019 will take place from the October 2 to 9. 

With its 6th edition, organized by Filmlab: Palestine, Palestine Cinema Days reaffirms its status as the first platform for Palestinian cinema, and reinforces its leading role in strengthening the Palestinian cinema industry, fostering the local talents and connecting with the global film industry.

Palestine Cinema Days 2019:

Bringing together cinema lovers in several Palestinian cities including Bethlehem, Gaza, Jerusalem, Nablus and Ramallah, the 6th Palestine Cinema Days will continue to grow as a platform showcasing Palestinian cinema, as well as strong and bold narratives from Arab cinema and World cinema.

The festival’s organizing committee has started crafting the program of its 6th edition with the renewed ambition of presenting a selection of eclectic cinematic voices including acclaimed local, Arab and international films recently presented at major international film festivals.

By including Q&A sessions with filmmakers in attendance and by offering masterclasses, Palestine Cinema Days creates a unique space for discussing cinema and creating a cinephile culture. Reflecting Filmlab’s year-around activities, and in the same spirit of enhancing the cinema culture in Palestine, a special line up of films will be programmed for the younger generation.

This year again, the festival will hold three Sunbird Competition Awards: Shorts  - Production - Documentaries. These three competitive sections aim at highlighting the finest new short films, feature-length documentary, and promising short film projects related to Palestine. The calls for submission for the will be launched in the coming days.

Returning for its 3rd edition, Palestine Film Meetings (PFM), the festival’s industry platform, will be held in parallel to Palestine Cinema Days 2019. The first of its kind in the country, the PFM platform aims at boosting the Palestinian film industry and connecting it with the global film industry.
