2 Palestinian filmmakers to participate in Sarajevo Film Festival

Filmlab: Palestine has annouced the names of the two Palestinian filmmakers who will participate in this year's Sarajevo Film Festival; Amin Nayfeh for his project 200 Meters, and Asma' Bseiso for her peoject Nostalgic Taste of Chillies.  The two filmmakers were selected by a jury after a careful review of more than 20 applications. Filmlab: Palestine and Sarajevo Film Festival will cover the travel and accomodation expenses for both filmmakers.

Nayfeh's project, 200 Meters, depicts the life of a married couple that comes from two Palestinian villages that are 200 meters apart, that are now separated by the apartheid wall. Bsieso's project, Nostalgic Taste of Chilies, is about a drama therapist working in Jordan, is lost between two hard choices: getting married to the man she loves, or pursuing her dream in going back to her hometown Gaza during the war.

Nayfeh and Bsieso will present their projects during CineLink Industry days from the 13th until the 17th of August, 2017. This participation creates the possibility for them to meet with regional and other projects presented at the CineLink coproduction market, participate at the regional forum conference and participate at Talents Sarajevo master classes and sessions.

This opportunity comes as a success story for Filmlab: Palestine in its mission to boost film production and viewership in Palestine and its vision of a productive and dynamic film industry in Palestine that is based on professional, creative, and innovative filmmakers and industry leaders.
